Welcome to Herding Hill Farm a premier Caravan, Camping, Wigwams, Shop & Tea Room nestled in a stunning part of the Northumberland countryside in the shadow of Hadrians Wall and just 1 mile north of Haltwhistle.
We are a high quality Vist Britain 4 star accredited family owned & run Touring Caravan, Campsite & Wigwam Site with a traditional Tea Room and Shop situated in the Heart of Hadrians Wall Country just 1 mile from Hadrians Wall and 1 mile north of the "Centre of Britain" Town of Haltwhistle.
We look to attract respectfull families, couples who appreciate the quality of our facilities and who also want to relax at our freindly family site and no noise after 11pm will be tolerated.
New for 2012
Luxury Amenity block which has underfloor heating, unisex Sauna, Private Bathrooms, cycle store, drying room, laundry room and a combined disabled/family bathroom which will be complete for April 2012. During busy periods we will be opening Friday, Saturday evenings from 6pm serving evening meals. We will freshly prepare a range of traditional homecooked favourites to order which can be enjoyed in our restaurant or in our outside seating area. We are proud to announce that we have decided to partner with Allendale Brewery so grown ups can enjoy a pint of Hand Pulled real ale or Allendales own Adder lager or a glass of wine while the children play happily outside in our new childrens outdoor play area which includes a Roman fort, toddlers pirate ship and a large disc swing.
Just a 15-minute walk from the most complete part of the World Heritage Site of Hadrians Wall and the Centre of Britain town of Haltwhistle.
The Sustrans Cycle Route 72 & 68 are within half a mile. The Hadrians Wall bus AD122 that runs (Easter to the end of October) between Carlisle & Newcastle stops right outside our gates so you can get full access to the area without taking the car.
We provide the perfect place for both day visitors to Hadrians Wall, Northumberland National Park and tourists planning a longer stay to enjoy the delights that our Border County offers.
We are the proud owners of two young black male Alpacas (Knight and Mamba) who graze happily outside our Tearoom and are a firm favourite of our visitors who enjoy seeing them keep a watchful eye over our hens & ducks. Our resident Guinea Pigs and Rabbits are also here for you to see and children to pet.
Whether you are staying with us for an hour, a day or a week you can be sure to have a warm welcome and we look forward to meeting you soon. Our Tea Room specializes in locally sourced food and drink from the Hadrians Wall corridor and we prepare an excellent breakfast, lunches and afternoon teas.
Our outdoor seating area provides the perfect spot to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the stunning Northumbrian countryside. Enjoy a bite and a drink from our fully licensed Tea Room with Free Wi-Fi and a sensibly priced menu!
Our Caravan, Camping & Wigwam site opens 50 weeks of the year so why not stay with us throughout the year and join us for a Christmas break.
