Whilst visiting us take a look at what there is to do!

One of the attractions to this location when we thought of the campsite was that you can visit lots of places within one hours drive.

Vindolanda & Roman Army Museum -
The North East’s best day out on Hadrian’s Wall which is only 3 miles away from our site. Come and enjoy the world famous Vindolanda Writing Tablets, live archaeology in summertime, the exclusive Eagle Eye 3D film and much more all in the heart of beautiful Northumberland National Park and central section of Hadrian's Wall.

Hadrians Wall - We are located in the best position for the central most complete part of the Wall.

Haltwhistle - the ‘centre of Britain’ is only a mile and a half miles from our site. Steeped in history and retaining many historical features including old bastle houses dating back to the fueding times of the Reivers, the town now boasts northern friendliness second to none. Pass the time of day in this ‘olde worlde’ town, enjoy the wealth of local characters and the traditional high street which still boasts many family run businesses

Beamish Museum - We are only a 50 min drive to this fantastic museum.

Metro Centre - Gateshead - If shopping is your thing then we are 45 min drive away from europes largest shopping Mall.

Haltwhistle Leisure Centre - Northern Englands only remaining outdoor swimming pool with a slide and a baby pool. You can hire BBQ's and make a day of it, we can supply you with BBQ meat.

Milecastle Inn - We are lucky to have one of the best country pubs within a 5 min walk from the site. Food is served everyday with fine real ales.

Kielder Water - Set deep in the vast Kielder Forest, is the largest man made lake in Europe. It is one of Britain’s largest nature resorts and is home to the rare red squirrel, deer and some rare birds. Enjoy some of the activities at Kielder, including fishing, boating, watersports etc
