We are planning to re-open our campsite to guests with their own facilities on 12th April, with the amenity block re-opening on 17th May in line with government guidance
Flow control taps and showers
Wastage can account for almost 20% of total water consumption. We have installed flow control taps to ensure that water flows only when really needed.
Solar thermal panels
We have installed solar thermal panels which help to heat the hot water in our Amenities Block.
To minimise landfill carbon footprint, we send all our waste to a bespoke Materials Recycling Facility, where it is recycled and used to produce products that can be used in the building and manufacturing industries.
Air source heat pump
Air source heat pumps generate less CO2 than conventional heating systems. We have installed one for the underfloor heating system in our amenity block and drying room.
Honeybees, Ladybirds and Butterflies, important pollinators, are running out of natural areas where they can thrive. We have planted flowers and bushes, as well as having wild flower areas, that will encourage bees and butterflies to the Site. We also have hedgehogs, bats and owls on or near to the site.
