Drummohr Camping and Glamping Site
If you are one of our many returning guests you may be interested that Herding Hill Farm now has a sister campsite in East Lothian, just 10 miles from Edinburgh? Drummohr Camping & Glamping Site (previously known as Drummohr Holiday Park) is a dog-friendly touring park, with a dog walk on site, offers a wide range of glamping accommodation for different budgets and is family and couple friendly.
Located in the grounds of an old monastery, this tree circled site, with glimmers of the Firth of Forth through the trees, has plenty of space for touring caravans and motorhomes as well as large grassed areas for tent campers. A range of glamping pods and bothies, some with en-suite WC, offer a value alternative to camping for families looking for a glamping break. Completing the site are our 2 and 3-bedroomed superior holiday lodges (some with hot tub) and a luxury self-catering retreat. The site has free parking and WiFi, a small licensed shop, laundry, children’s playground and Information Point. Drummohr is open all year round so is perfect to visit throughout every season.
Located close to the shores of the Firth of Forth, just outside Musselburgh, and with excellent public transport links, Drummohr is an ideal base for both a city break to Edinburgh and a visit to the coastline and countryside of East Lothian. With over 20 golf courses to choose from in the local area, Drummohr would also make a good base for a Scottish golfing break. The long-distance route, the John Muir Way, is located close by and we are ideally placed for walkers and cyclists.
Regular buses and a local train service mean that it is easy to visit the sites and attractions of Edinburgh whilst staying at Drummohr. Edinburgh Zoo, Edinburgh Castle and the numerous museums for all ages, make Edinburgh a perfect destination for all the family to enjoy. Blessed with events such as the Edinburgh Tattoo, Edinburgh Fringe or Edinburgh International Festival, as well as the famous Hogmanay celebrations, Edinburgh is a vibrant city no matter what the time of year. East Lothian is blessed with numerous sandy beaches, picturesque harbours, seaside towns like Dunbar and North Berwick, dramatic coastline, nature reserves, golf courses, fine castles and stately homes.
