Located in a spacious area on our Northumberland campsite, our Wigwam Cabins are a comfortable change to camping. Made from sustainable wood, with electricity and heating, these environmentally friendly camping pods are a cost-effective alternative to family-friendly camping without losing any of the thrills. 

Perfect for camping all year round, our Wigwam Cabins are warm, comfortable and cosy, perfect for families, friends and couples.  We offer a choice of Optional Extras for added convenience. These camping pods are dog friendly too.

If you book a stay in one of our Wigwam cabins, here’s what you will receive from each of our camping pods in Northumberland:

• Well insulated and heated camping pods in Northumberland with electric and a lockable door
• Semi self-catering with small fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave supplied – Our Running Water Wigwam Cabins also have a kitchen sink with hot water and ensuite WC
• Open plan seating areas convert to platform beds with comfortable, thick foam mattresses – you will need to bring your own bedding, or we offer single and double bedding packs for hire 
• For dog friendly camping, our camping pods allow up to two well-behaved dogs for an additional cleaning charge - scenic dog walk, enclosed exercise field and hot water dog wash available

Dog Friendly Camping

All our Northumberland Camping Pods are dog friendly. We allow 2 well-behaved dogs for an additional cleaning charge per stay. We recommend bringing a long lead for your dog as there is a tie on the camping pods to allow them to safely roam the area. 

Our Northumberland campsite has a scenic dog walk with picnic tables and secure dog exercise area as well as a hot water dog wash, perfect for those long muddy walks! Additionally, our licensed shop offers many essentials for dogs, so don’t worry if you forget to pack something. However, we do have a Dog Camping Checklist in case you are unsure on what to bring.

Stargazing Pods

Our camping pods in Northumberland are in centre of our campsite under the wide, dark sky. We are a Dark Sky Friendly Site, with low level lighting. These Wigwam Cabins are ideal stargazing pods, offering a prime spot for star spotting under one of the darkest skies in the country. We offeer fire pits and stargazing kits for hire.

If you choose to book one of our camping pods with hot tubs, the private outdoor hot tub provides wonderful views, situated directly beneath these dark skies, making our cosy camping pods perfect for both winter camping and stargazing during the dark sky months from October through March.

Camping Pods with Hot Tubs

We offer camping pods with hot tubs, with hot tub options in both our Big Chief Wigwam Cabins and Running Water Wigwam Cabins. 

Please make sure you select the hot tub option when booking as not all these Wigwam Cabins are camping pods with hot tubs. 

These camping pods with hot tubs feature a private electric hot tub for 6 meaning they are ready to use as soon as you arrive. Our camping pods with hot tubs are both child and dog friendly, making them a great glamping option for families and pet owners. 

If you’re travelling without children and prefer a tranquil retreat, consider the private hot tubs in our adults-only en-suite Castle Pods. 

If you book one of our camping pods with hot tub don't forget your swimming costume. We have a costume spinner in our laundry. You might find it helpful to bring a pair of fit flops and a robe to facilitate the walk from the camping pod into the hot tub.

Family Glamping Pods

For a memorable family camping holiday, look no further! Our family glamping pods offer comfort and enjoyment for all ages. Centrally located within our campsite, a spacious grassy area sits at the heart of the Wigwam cabins, providing a perfect playground for children allowing them to make new friends. 

Our Northumberland campsite features friendly farm animals, ball field and a fun-filled children's playground, ensuring that there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Children are welcome to join in the animal feeding twice daily. We have a spacious indoor campers’ kitchen if the weather is poor with table and chairs to play games or read. There are a selection of board games and children's activities.

If you are travelling with friends or family, our indoor BBQ hut for exclusive hire seats up to 20.  With pizzas delivered to your family glamping pod Friday evenings in season, to toasting marshmallows on one of our fire pits available to hire, there is sure to be an outdoor activity to tempt your child whilst on a family camping holiday with us.

• 10 Running Water Wigwam Cabins sleeping a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 3 children on thick foam mattresses. En-suite toilet, wash basin and sink. 7 of these are family glamping pods with hot tubs
• 3 Big Chief Wigwam Cabins sleeping a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children on thick foam mattresses. 1 of our Big Chief family glamping pods has a hot tub. No WC.
• 4 smaller Wee Brave Wigwam Cabins sleeping a maximum of 2 adults and 2 small children. No WC.
